Eligibility :

For Ph.D. Urdu / Hindi / Arabic / Persian : Passed with 55% marks in M.A. Urdu / Hindi / Arabic / Persian. For Ph.D. English : Passed with 55% marks in M.A. English. Those who have studied Urdu at any level will be given preference. For Ph.D. Translation : Passed with 55% of marks in M.A. Translation. Candidates who do not possess a M.A. degree in Translation Studies or M.Phil Translation Studies should fulfill any one of the following conditions : 1. Publication of atleast 5 articles, translated from English to Urdu, in reputed Urdu Journals and Magazines. 2. Minimum 3 years experience as an English-Urdu Translator in any Government or Semi-Government organisation or in any reputed media organisation. 3. Published atleast one book of minimum 100 pages, translated from English to Urdu. For Ph.D. Public Administration : Masters Degree in subject concerned or allied subject from a recognized university with 55% marks. For Ph.D. (Women's Studies) : The candidates who have secured their M.A. / M.Phil degree from other social sciences or Humanities and desire to seek admission in Ph.D. course in Women's Studies, in addition to qualifying the ET, it is mandotory to take up 6 months course work. Students from Women Education are exempted from the above-said condition. For Ph.D. Management : MBA/equivalent from a recognized university with 55% marks. For Ph.D. Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy : Candidates who have studied Social Sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, History, Political Sciences, Psychology, Philosophy, Public Administration, Geography, Social Work) or Law / Gender Studies / Development Studies / Human Rights / Child Rights / Culture Studies / Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy / Dalit or Minority Studies / Discrimination Studies / Governance Studies / Liberal or Human Studies / International Studies / Comparative Religion Studies / Rural or Urban Development as subjects in their Master's Degree from recognized university with at least 55% marks in aggregate are eligible. The candidates who have completed M.Phil with CSSEIP will be eligible irrespective of their Post Graduation Background. For Ph.D. Computer Science : Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Information Technology / Technology in the relevant subject or any P.G closely related to Computer Science with minimum 55 % marks in aggregate.

The Prospectus-cum-application forms can be obtained from 5th April, 2013 onwards from the University Campus, Gachibowli, and City Centre, Haj House, Hyderabad and from all the Regional/Sub-Regional Centres, and Colleges of Teacher Education on payment of Rs. 100/- through Demand Draft(by hand) or through a Demand Draft of Rs. 150/-(by post). The Demand Draft should be drawn from any Nationalized Bank in favour of "Maulana Azad National Urdu University" payable at Hyderabad.
